MY SHOPPING LIST

It’s that time of the year again!!!  Time for the bi-annual High Point Furniture Market!  The market every interior designer needs to attend.  The High Point Market is the largest home furnishings trade show in the world, with 11.5 million square feet of show space!  This means, I need to pull out my comfy shoes and get ready for some serious walking and shopping!!

I have been attending the show in High Point for the last 12 years, and with every visit I find new and exciting vendors to add to my shopping list of “must sees”.   Needless to say, my shopping list has grown substantially over the years.  In the early years, my main focus was on fabric, trim and hardware.  Then we expanded and added furniture, rugs, lighting, and accessories.  I’m always on the lookout for new products that are unique and creative to bring to my customers.

My trip to High Point wouldn’t be complete without visiting these showrooms to view their new and existing products. Here are a few of favorites on “my list”! 

My favorite lighting vendor is Visual Comfort!!!

I have to go through this showroom at least 3 times to take it all in.  They are the leader in signature designer lighting.  Every piece is a work of art!!  At every market I find what I need in their gorgeous showroom! 

A few markets ago, I found this beauty and had to have it for myself!!   I was without a dining room light fixture for a few years, and after I saw it, it was LOVE at first sight!!!

Need I say anymore!!  This fabulous company prides itself on style, comfort and color!  It is my go to company for upholstered furniture.  Not only are the upholstered pieces custom crafted in North Carolina, but they have over 800 fabrics and leathers to choose from.  And the styles range from traditional to contemporary.

Thibaut

This stop is PURE eye candy for me!   Thibaut is a MUST SEE at every market!!  Their beautiful show room is always a rainbow of beautiful furniture, wallpaper and fabrics.   My new fabric obsession is chinoiserie, and they have the perfect one for my client!  Did you notice my favorite color – navy blue is predominant??
