PLAZA BELLA GOES PINK

Over the past 6 years the businesses of Plaza Bella have held the Plaza Bella Goes Pink 5K Challenge and the Diva Strut in an effort to raise funds and create awareness for a cure for Breast Cancer. 

This Saturday, October 19 please join us to help KNOCK OUT Breast Cancer!

 Some Statistics from the American Cancer Society:

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer among American women, except for skin cancers.  About 1 in 8 women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.  And Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeded only by lung cancer. 

In 2013 approximately 39,000+ women will die from breast cancer.

Death rates from breast cancer have been declining since about 1989, with larger decreases in women younger than 50.  These decreases are believed to be the result of earlier detection through screening and increased awareness, as well as improved treatments.

So help us with the fight to spread the word on how important it is to get screenings and support with funding to keep treatments improving and find a way to Knock Out Breast Cancer!
