Every few years a fabric stops me dead in my tracks. I want to jump up and down, wrap myself up in it, and show it to everyone I know! This sounds extreme, but I do have ONE weakness, FABRIC!!! And I have to admit – I am a fabric-holic!!!
In April I was at the High Point Furniture Market, and saw the most beautiful fabric on two display chairs. It was love at first sight!

This is one of Schumacher’s best-loved designs, Chiang Mai Dragon in the aqua colorway. It was originally derived from an exuberant 1920’s Art Deco era block print, and has become one of their best-selling fabrics.
Currently I am designing a master bedroom and bath using the Chiang Mai Dragon for upholstery, pillows and a roman shade. The chair we have chosen will be this updated version of a wing chair from CRLaine.

The chair will be the SHOWPIECE of the room. Love the nailhead detail!!! Unfortunately you will have to wait to see pictures of the room , the house is still in the construction phase. But……. lucky me the chair will be in the store this month. Several pieces of furniture, including this GORGEOUS chair from CR Laine will be arriving in Tassels within the next couple weeks. CAN’T WAIT, but to hold me over I do have some pillows in the store –
There are 5 different colorways of the dragon. Leave a comment below and tell me which one is your favorite.
Is it China Blue or Alabaster?
Or do you prefer Lacquer or Mocha?
Or is it my favorite AQUA????
