One trend for the Fall of 2013….Brass and Gold, coming around again!!

On my last visit to the New York Now Show and Barb’s visit to the Highpoint Furniture Market, it was apparent brass and gold are making a comeback.    Brass and gold give warmth to a room and a gleam of class and elegance.  It mixes well with other metals and plays nicely with colors.

From serving pieces, table settings, vases and mirrors to wallpaper and fabrics, it was subtly all around.

You may know by now I am a big fan of Michael Aram and his new line of gold serving pieces from the leaf collection are stunning.

Chilewich’s new MOD collection mimics an oversized oval chain link and makes a great presentation on the table or the Dahlia round is always an elegant look…

Also while I was in London at stop a Harrods had Chilewich paired with gold’s and silvers…

In New York there was an assortment of beautiful brass boxes like these by Jonathan Adler.

And lighting in brass and gold from the base to the shades…

There is a variety of gold out there from the subtle to the shiny to choose from, add a little gleam to your home this fall!
