Me again (in case you forgot)!!! And it’s time for my bi-annual trip to High Point, NC!! The High Point Market is the largest home furnishings trade show in the world. There are over 2000 exhibitors of furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories, and 11.5 million square feet of show space – I’m sure to find everything on my shopping list plus some, and as a bonus get a really good work out!

I can’t wait to see all the new furniture designs by CRLaine, the thousands of lighting fixtures from several manufacturers, and all the great rug selections from Surya. In addition most of the fabric showrooms will be open so I’ll be able to see all the new fabrics that have been introduced.

Not only does the market showcase all the new trends and designs in home furnishings but it also provides some great educational opportunities.

I’m fortunate to be able to attend two seminars by two of my favorite designers!!! Friday I will be attending a whole day intensive seminar with Tobi Fairley .   In one of my earlier posts here , I introduced you to her blog and beautiful interiors.

I have been following Tobi’s blog and studying her interiors for years. She is a brilliant and creative designer with a strong business background. I can’t wait to learn some of her “ tried and true” strategies for improving my design business.

On Sunday I’ll be attending a seminar by the “Color Expert”, Maria Killam!!!! Read about her here.   She is an internationally sought after color expert, design blogger, author, trainer, decorator, and stylist.  I have studied her books and have followed her blog for several years. I am so excited to get a sneak peek of her latest ebook – “White is complicated – A Decorators Guide to choosing the Right White Every Time”.

Stay tuned, I’ll have plenty of pictures and lots of inspiration to share with you when I get back next week!!!

PS Thanks for being so patient with me – I promise to get my act together and post my blog articles more consistently!!!  Working from home is quite an adjustment!!!
